Camtasia Video Editor
As most of you guys know, I make all my own videos at Clever Gizmos. I don't pay anyone to do graphics or video or anything. All the vidoes on this website are made with the video editing software called "Camtasia." I like this app because, not only do i use it to create marketing videos, but it also comes with a Screen Recorder--so you can record your desktop--I use this to send videos about bug fixes to my programmers. I've used teh last 3 versions of Camtasia and this new one is pretty freaking great. They completely redesigned the app this time. (The old version was a little bulky) Previous releases mostly just built on existing functions. But now, it's an entire video creation suite. |

Sony Vegas Movie Studio
Camtasia is the best Video Editing software for beginners. Trust me on this. It really does rock. But, Camtasia is kind of expensive. So if you are absolutely looking for something cheaper, then try Sony Vegas Studio. Stay away from Microsoft Movie Maker and Adobe Premiere Elements. I have tried to love these apps. But ironically, with each version released, they just get worse and worse. I can't exactly figure out why. But in trying to make these apps "newbie-friendly" they actually made them harder to use. But checkout Sony Vegas Studio as an alternate. It's not perfect. But it's still easier to use than Adobe Premiere. |
